About BMX Racing World Cup
In 2011, the UCI BMX Racing World Cup took place in the Netherlands for the very first time. An enormous achievement. Since then, the BMX World Cup has been organized at Papendal. This event has become a classic on the calendar: all the world’s top athletes know how to find their way to Papendal.
Did you know that the BMX Racing World Cup event #OpPapendal has been declared ‘BEST EVENT’ by the UCI in 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and in 2023. We are very proud!
UCI BMX World Championships 2026
This year’s UCI BMX World Championship will take place in Brisbane, Australia, in July.
Calendar UCI BMX Racing World Cup 2026:
- Rounds 1 and 2: Sarrians (France), 6 and 7 June 2026
- Rounds 3 and 4: Papendal (Netherlands), 13 and 14 June 2026
- Rounds 5 and 6: China, 20 and 21 October 2026
- Rounds 7 and 8: Sarasota (USA), 31 October and 1 November
About Papendal
The High Performance Centre in Arnhem is the home base of the National BMX selections. In total around 550 athletes train @papendal, of which 200 live at or nearby Papendal. About UCI
UCI is the international sports federation, acknowledged by the International Olympic Committee, for all disciplines of the cycling sport. The federation is one of the oldest and was founded in 1900. The role of the UCI is to further put the cycling sport on the map in the sports world. Developing an international event calendar for each cycling discipline and providing international rules and regulations for these disciplines are among their most important tasks. Naturally, they also take care of the World Cup for all cycling disciplines. Thus, also for BMX. As such, they are owner and operator of the annual UCI BMX Racing World Cups, where world’s best professional BMX riders perform at top level.
