Gelderland Cup and NPS during the UCI BMX Racing World Cup at Papendal

On June 13 and 14, 2026, the UCI BMX Racing World Cup at Papendal will once again be expanded with the Gelderland Cup and the Dutch Pumptrack Series (NPS). In collaboration with The Pump Factory, this program offers both top Dutch athletes and local talents the opportunity to showcase their skills on the pumptrack course. The competitions will alternate with the BMX races, allowing visitors to enjoy spectacular action throughout the entire day.

Gelderland Cup & Dutch Pumptrack Series

On Saturday, June 13, the Gelderland Cup is scheduled. In the lead-up to the final at Papendal, qualifying rounds will take place at various locations in Gelderland, where participants can earn wildcards. Direct registration is also possible, but the number of spots is limited. Riders will compete across ten age categories. Each participant in the Gelderland Cup will receive access on Saturday to the UCI BMX Racing World Cup, together with one accompanying person, so they can enjoy a weekend full of action and sportsmanship.

On Sunday, June 14, the Dutch Pumptrack Series (NPS) will take place. This competition is organized by The Pump Factory in collaboration with Papendal and the KNWU. The competition is open to everyone and does not require a license. Participants are divided into ten age categories, ranging from kids (2019–2016) to masters (1994 and earlier). Each rider gets two runs to set their fastest time. The top four in each category advance to the super final, after which the top eight compete in a knockout phase for the title. Each participant in the NPS will receive access on Sunday to the UCI BMX Racing World Cup, together with one accompanying person, so they can enjoy a weekend full of action and sportsmanship.

Neighborhood competitions: discover pumptrack and BMX

To make the sport accessible to a wide audience, Sportbedrijf Arnhem is organizing special neighborhood competitions. At four locations in Arnhem, both beginners and advanced riders can easily get introduced to pumptrack and gain race experience.

This unique event promises a combination of speed, technique, and competition, with an impressive program where the worlds of pumptrack and BMX come together at the highest level.
