European Pumptrack Cup

First European Pumptrack Cup and Gelderland Cup during the UCI BMX Racing World Cup at Papendal

On June 21 and 22, 2025, the UCI BMX Racing World Cup at Papendal will be expanded with an exciting new event: the very first European Pumptrack Cup and the Gelderland Cup. In collaboration with The Pump Factory, this program will offer both top European athletes and local talents the opportunity to showcase their skills on the Pumptrack course. The competitions will take place alongside the BMX races, ensuring visitors an action-packed experience throughout the day.

European Pumptrack Cup: Speed and Competition

The European Pumptrack Cup is organized by The Pump Factory in collaboration with Papendal and KNWU. The competition is open to everyone and does not require a license. Participants will be divided into ten age categories, ranging from kids (2019-2016) to masters (1994 and earlier). Each competitor will have two runs to set their fastest time. The top four in each category will advance to the super final, where the top eight will battle it out in a knockout phase for the European title. All European Cup participants will receive free access to the UCI BMX Racing World Cup on Saturday. On Sunday, both the participant and one accompanying adult will have access to the event — making it a weekend full of action and excitement for athletes and fans alike.

Gelderland Cup & Dutch Pumptrack Series

In addition to the European Pumptrack Cup, the Gelderland Cup will also take place. Leading up to the final at Papendal, preliminary rounds will be held at various locations in Gelderland, where participants can earn wildcards. Direct registration is also possible, though spots are limited. This competition also includes ten age categories.

Neighborhood Competitions: Introducing Pumptrack and BMX

To make the sport accessible to a broad audience, Sportbedrijf Arnhem will organize special neighborhood competitions. At four locations in Arnhem, both beginners and experienced riders can get acquainted with pumptrack in a low-threshold setting and gain race experience.

This unique event promises a thrilling combination of speed, technique, and competition, bringing together the worlds of pumptrack and BMX at the highest level.

Registration

Registration for the European Pumptrack Cup is available in advance via the website of NPS (Dutch Pumptrack Series), with an entry fee of €10 per participant. The Gelderland Cup also offers open registration and can be accessed through the Dutch Pumptrack Series website.
